North Butler Elementary: Class Assignments

Welcome! My name is Jeff Jennings and I am the principal at North Butler Elementary School. I want to welcome each and everyone to NBES and it is my hope that everyone has a great year!

Our North Butler faculty and staff are busy preparing to welcome new and returning students for the 2013-14 school year. All staff members are focused on student success every day as we begin another exciting school year. Teachers have been meeting this summer in preparation for a great year! Our custodians, Jennifer Jones and Robbie Parrish, have been busy painting, cleaning, and waxing so our school will shine. Support staff members are also working to accomplish the many tasks that are necessary to get everything ready for our students. We will be having an Open House August 5th from 5:00-7:00 for all returning and new students. In addition, Preschool and Kindergarten screening will be held on August 1st. Please call the school to setup a time for Preschool and Kindergarten screening.
We would like to welcome Mrs. Donna Annis back to the NBES family! Mrs. Annis is transferring from Morgantown Elementary and will be teaching Reading in 4th and 5th grade. A teaching position came open with the retirement of Darlene Embry. Mrs. Embry will be greatly missed!
The partnership between school and home is vitally important for students' success in their elementary school years. I encourage family members to actively support their children's education. Please read the weekly newsletters from your child's teacher, visit the school often, look at student work in Friday folders, attend School-Based Decision Making Council meetings and participate in Parent-Teacher Organization work, and expect automated "One Call Now" calls to keep you informed about school events. Please make good school attendance a priority for your child, and be familiar with policies about attendance and other important issues explained in the school handbook. Also, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have.
We are very fortunate to continue providing health services for students through a partnership between Barren River District Health Department and the Butler County Board of Education. I encourage parents to contact Nurse Lori Raeuchle at North Butler any time they have questions or want assistance with their child's health needs.
