Natalie Suoy Recognized as DAR Good Citizen

The Butler County Chapter NSDAR is recognizing Senior Natalie Suoy as the BCHS Class of 2018-19 Good Citizen. This award is presented to a high school senior who possesses the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. Natalie is the daughter of Jennifer and John Suoy of Morgantown.

In high school Natalie has participated in various programs the school offers including: NJROTC where she has served as Public Affairs Officer, Operations Officer and also Drill Team Commander: FBLA where she served as Chapter Parliamentarian; TSA and other groups.

She took a variety of classes including several for college credit. She completed Chinese 101 & 102 which helped enable her to spend a summer learning abroad. Natalie plans to be a communications major with a minor in Asian studies.

In her community she has served as Green River Chapter Children of the American Revolution president (CAR) and acted as past state registrar. She assisted in county trash pickup, led festival games and taught children’s groups about the meaning and care of the United States flag.  She has worked at the Boys and Girls Club where she acted as a mentor and helped the boys and girls become better students as well as better citizens of their community.

Natalie will be recognized by the Butler County Chapter NSDAR at their annual Silver Awards Program for the Good Citizen, as well as other students for their accomplishments, on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:00 P.M. at the Butler County Education Complex.
