Music at the mural success continues

Music at the mural.

When was the last time you heard “My Old Kentucky Home” sung by an opera singer followed shortly by a Tom T. Hall classic? For those who attended the latest music at the mural, the answer is, Friday night on the square.

Growth of the event prompted the organizers to encourage the creation of two separate groups of musicians. One group stayed at the mural while the other took up position under the courthouse shade trees. That in turn brought about an even greater and more diverse offering of music styles for those who came to listen.

New this month was Zac Bush, opera singer and friend of Andee Rudloff, Morgantown’s mural designer. Bush is currently an artist in residence, youth theatre associate, at SKYPAC in Bowling Green.

Music at the mural is brought about by the efforts of the Butler County Arts Guild. Information about the Guild as well as upcoming schedules are available online on their Facebook page, as well as at www.beechtreenews.com.
