Mudd appointed to Judicial Nominating Commission for the 38th Judicial Circuit and District
Gov. Matt Bevin appointed Mark Mudd of Morgantown, to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 38th Judicial Circuit and District.
"I'm honored to have been appointed by Governor Bevin to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 38th District and Circuit Courts. Butler, Edmonson, Ohio and Hancock Counties are all served by this important court within our Judicial System. I will work very hard to represent Butler County well in this endeavor of public service," said Mudd.
Mudd is a retired engineer and piano technician. His term will expire Jan. 1, 2018.
Also appointed were: Steven W. Geary, of Beaver Dam, Randy Stroup, of Lewisport, and Charles Mattingly, of Fordsville.
The Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court serves as Chair of this Commission. The Commission also includes two members from the Ky. Bar Association, four lay persons appointed by the Governor who are not members of the Ky. Bar Association, and at least two members of each of the two political parties. Members cannot hold any other public office or any office in a political party or organization
