MS FOOTBALL: Bears best Cougars

On September 5th the BCMS Bears faced the Grayson County Middle School Cougars at home. It was a special night as the bears welcomed to the field their very own #2 Felix Francisco. Francisco plays running back/linebacker for the Bears. Unfortunately, Francisco and his family were involved in a tragic motor vehicle accident a few weeks ago. The accident resulted in the passing of his mother and brother, leaving him with injuries that prevented him from finishing his eighth grade season.

The Bears most definitely showed up and showed out when playing the Cougars.  The 7th grade finished the game with  a score of 20-0. The 8th grade squad made it to 1:16 in the first half, winning 16-6 when they were hit by a weather delay/cancellation. The Bears finished their game last Thursday, taking the big win over the cougars 30-14.

Head Coach Kory Johnson commented after the game, “We have a special group of young men, they are the example of what brotherhood is and should be.”
