MS FOOTBALL: Bears beat Breck for first conference win
The first Green River Valley Conference game for Butler County Middle School turned out to be a good one as the Bears shut-out Breckinridge County in both the 7th and 8th grade games last week.
The 7th grade offense looked great with everything from perfect snaps to passes and handoffs. Fullback Jake Sorrels rushed for many yards in the game and put up six for the Bears. The offensive line stayed strong for Butler County throughout, allowing plays to be executed, which resulted in their 28-0 win.

Just when you think 28-0 was a good win, the 8th grade Bears topped it with a final score of 40-0. Mason “Smoochie” West snagged a pass for a touchdown then had a pick-6 to follow. All the Bears played a big part in the high-scoring game - Richardson, Henderson, Francisco and Bratcher - just to name a few.
The 7th and 8th grade Bears' defense is looking scary coming into future conference games as they held Breckinridge County to negative yards in the shutout wins.
