MS FOOTBALL: Bears 7th/8th defeat McLean

Last week the BCMS Bears traveled to McLean County for a conference game against the Cougars. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams had the crowd on edge with two nail-biter games.  The 7th grade finished on top with a score of 12-6.

The 8th grade Bears have had a challenging season due to player injuries. The most recent challenge for the Bears was shifting their offense as quarterback Drake Bratcher suffered a season-ending injury.  Nevertheless, Thomas Embry stepped up to fulfill the quarterback role against McLean and successfully led the Bears to a 14-8 win.

This week the Bears face the Muhlenberg County Mustangs on Tuesday, September 26th. The winner of the 8th grade game will determine which school will host the Green River Valley Conference tournament, which is set for Thursday, September 28th.
