Ms. Elmore's Class "Adopts" Butler Co. Cancer, Inc. to Show The True Meaning of Christmas

Each year Ms. Elmore's 3rd Grade Class at Morgantown Elementary helps out a special group in the community at Christmas time.  In the past, her class has provided items for residents at Morgantown Care and Rehab, clients at The Adult Daycare, and individuals through Butler County Cancer Assistance, Inc. The purpose of this project is to allow students the opportunity to experience the true meaning of Christmas, helping others.

Most people in our community have been touched by cancer either themselves, a relative, or a friend.  Ms. Elmore's class wanted to show the true meaning of Christmas and help out some of the individuals in our community affected by cancer. Therefore, this year, her class decided to once again help out friends of Butler County Cancer, Inc. The students, their families, and Ms. Elmore gave money to purchase personal items for the individuals in Butler Co. that Butler County Cancer, Inc. serves.  Some of the items purchased were lotion, socks, and toboggans.  This year, her class was able to make up even more Christmas gift bags of items to be distributed by representatives of Butler Co. Cancer, Inc. than in the past.

Ms. Elmore wants to thank all the families and her students for helping demonstrate the true meaning of Christmas.
