On June 6, 2022 at about 1:35 a.m., officers with the Morgantown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Chevrolet HHR. During the investigation the driver of the vehicle gave officers consent to search the vehicle. The search yielded multiple bags of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

Brian Powell was charged with:

1)Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense -(>or=2 GMS methamphetamine)

2) possession of marijuana

3) drug paraphernalia

4) public intoxication

Rollynne Speer was charged with:

1)Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense -(>or=2 GMS methamphetamine)

2) possession of marijuana

3) drug paraphernalia
