MPD makes drug arrests.

On August 22, 2016, Morgantown Police Department Sgt. Denny Deweese and Chief Giles Taylor responded to 317 Dave Gaskey Lane in regards to an illegal drug complaint that they had received. While at the location unlawful drug paraphernalia and pills was found inside the residence.

Zachary Smith was arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail, charged with possession of controlled substance-first degree- first offense drug unspecified, drug paraphernalia, buy/possess and prescription controlled substance, not in original container, first offense.

Jason Jarvis was also arrested for an active warrant for his arrest out of Muhlenberg County and lodged in the Butler County Jail before being transferedto Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
