According to Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor, on Monday, February 12, 2018, officers with the Morgantown Police Department while traveling on Dave Gaskey Lane recognized Ricky Shane Henderson age 37 of Morgantown as having an active warrant. With Mr. Henderson at the time of his arrest was Earl Wayne Dotson age 35 also of Morgantown. Mr Dotson was subsequently found to be in possession of a variety of weapons as well as suspected meth.

Both were arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail.
Mr. Dotson was additionally charged with trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of concealed weapons.
