MPD makes assault and drug arrest on Thomas Street

 On Friday , April 26, 2019, at approximately 4:30 pm the Morgantown Police Department received a call about an out of control combative female at 102 Thomas Street in Morgantown. Upon officers arrival and subsequent investigation, the out of control female was determined to be Kimberly Renae Smith, age 46 of Morgantown.

Smith had physically assaulted two subjects at the residence. Smith had in her possession a suspected meth pipe along with suspected methamphetamine.
Smith is charged with Public Intoxication- Controlled Substance, Disorderly Conduct 1st degree, Resisting Arrest, Assault 4 degree (minor injuries), Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd degree, Possession Controlled Substance 1st degree, 1st Offense, Drug Paraphernalia Buy/ Poss, and is lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Additional charges will likely be sought in the Butler County Grand Jury relating to Criminal mischief and assault of a Police Officer.
