MPD makes arrest; glass pipes with suspected meth residue and AR-style shotgun found

A Morgantown man was arrested on various drug-related charges after officers responded to a call.  Officers with the Morgantown Police Department (MPD) responded to a residence on Jim Embry drive on Tuesday, June 27, after a call reported that an individual was beating on someone's door and was refusing to leave the residence.   

Officers arrived on scene and observed the individual, who was identified as Carl Lindsey of Morgantown.  According to the MPD, the subject appeared to be under the influence but he denied taking or drinking anything that would make him under the influence. Officer asked consent to search the vehicle for anything that would intoxicate the individual. Lindsey agreed to the search.

During the search, officers discovered three glass pipes with suspected meth residue, 15 round blue pills inside an unmarked container, two white oval pills also in an unmarked container, and an AR-style shotgun with two magazines.

Lindsey under arrest for possession of a controlled substance-1st (2 counts);  trafficking a controlled substance-1st; and possession of  drug paraphernalia. All charges were enhanced since the subject had the firearm in his possession.  

Lindsey was lodged at the Butler County Jail.
