MPD Make Drug Arrests

 Morgantown Police have been very busy as of late, with making arrests in town. James Ferguson of Morgantown was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol / drugs .08 first offense. The traffic stop was made in The Sawmill Road area. Chief of Police Giles Taylor explained, the officer found four Hydrocodone pills inside Ferguson's pant pocket.
Ferguson was lodged in the Butler County Jail on multiple charges.

 A routine traffic stop on Sept. 27 in Morgantown has led police to the arrest of Clarence Hampton for drug possession. According to Morgantown Police Chief Giles Taylor, Hampton 60, of Morgantown was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol / drugs .08 first offense, careless driving, trafficking a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance 1st, possession of marijuana and failure to signal. During a thorough search of Hampton’s vehicle, police found methamphetamine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
Hampton was lodged in the Butler County Jail.
