MPD Captures Shannon Beasley

On Tuesday, June 5 after a flawless undercover job at the Physical Therapy Works location in Morgantown by Morgantown Police Sgt. Andy Gidcumb and Officer Travis McIntosh, Doy "Shannon" Beasley is headed back to jail.
Sgt. Andy Gidcumb via telephone interview after the incident said that there “was a $100,000 cash warrant issued for Mr. Beasley”. This warrant was based on related charges that were connected to the charges Mr. Beasley is already facing for kidnapping-adult and rape, 1st degree-domestic violence.  According to Gidcumb this was the “largest cash warrant issued” that he had ever seen and was “the reason for the undercover operation to pick up Mr. Beasley”.
The plans for this operation were almost hindered due to a phone call the officers received moments before Mr. Beasley was set to arrive.
“We had gotten a call from McDonald’s about a lady that was unhappy and screaming at the manager. We responded to the call and was able made it back in time to get set up before Mr. Beasley arrived," said Gidcumb.
Mr. Beasley had a 3:30pm appointment for physical therapy at Physical Therapy Works, but did not show up until 3:33pm.
According to Gidcumb,  Officer McIntosh was inside of the Physical Therapy Works location “pretending to workout”.

After less than five minutes inside the location, Gidcumb and McIntosh walked Beasley outside. After allowing Beasley to make a brief phone call, both officers walked Beasley to the police SUV  and he was lodged in the Butler County Jail.
