On September 3, 2022, officers with the Morgantown Police Department responded to a trespassing complaint on S. Main Street; as a result of the investigation, Stephen Bernard, age 53, of Morgantown, was arrested and charged with:

1) Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Off (methamphetamine)

2)Possession of Marijuana

3) Drug Paraphernalia

4) Public intoxication- controlled sub (excludes alcohol)

5) Criminal Trespassing 3rd - Degree

He was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

On September 2, 2022, officers with the Morgantown Police Department were notified of a small child wandering around the playground by herself on Sailing Circle. Officers observed a small child walking around with no clothes or shoes.

As a result of the investigation Eric Renfrow, age 31, of Morgantown, was located about an hour later and charged with:

1) Criminal Abuse 1st Degree- child 12 or under

2) Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree

He was lodged in the Butler County Jail.
