Runners of all ages gathered on Monday, May 27 to run a five-mile race from Morgantown to Woodbury. 38 runners and three walkers took part in “The Toughest Race You’ll Ever Love.” Proceeds benefited the Butler County High School and Butler County Middle School track teams, with a total of $1,600 raised for the track program. Registration began at the Charles Black City Park. The race began at South Tyler St. in Morgantown and ended at the camping area of Woodbury Park.

Sponsors of the event included: C.B Embry, Whittinghill Rentals, Butler County Family Care, Morgantown Bank & Trust, Final Finish and Jones Funeral Chapel. Drinks were provided by the IGA and Prairie Farms.

Ashley Runion, 32 of Morgantown was the overall first place winner with a time of 33:25.
