Morgantown Nazarene Celebrates New Sanctuary with Open House

Pastor Ruth and husband Neal Morgan

Sunday, Pastor Ruth and Neal Morgan were excited to greet everyone at the Open House, and both were giving tours of all the work that has been accomplished.

Brian Powell, Superintendent of the Kentucky District Church of the Nazarene, was honored to help with the new Sanctuary's dedication that had been under construction for the past year.

"The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. "Psalm 29:11

Over two years ago, when the congregation realized the trusses were failing, they began planning, and with help from the community and Amber Smith at Morgantown Bank, they were able to secure a loan to rebuild the Church.

Neal commented that they were blessed to find Zion Church Builders from Michigan to do the work and complete it under budget.

Stained Glass by Adrianna had to develop a style of painting on glass to make them look like stained glass; the six windows averaged twenty hours each. Each window depicts a theme from the Bible. They catch your eye as soon as you walk into the Sanctuary. Adrianna is also an excellent piano player and entertained everyone during the Open House.

Pastor Ruth is very thankful that the new facilities are handicap accessible. From the nursery to the community room downstairs, the congregation can be very proud of their perseverance and hard work.

They are on social media. Website mtownnaz.org
