Morgantown Man Arrested for Drugs following Traffic Stop

Morgantown, Ky.(March 11, 2024) – At approximately midnight, while conducting traffic enforcement, Trooper Brent Davis conducted a traffic stop on a gold Chevrolet Malibu operated by Tyler Potts, 27, of Morgantown. Through the course of Trooper Davis's investigation, he located a plastic bag containing several blue suspected Fentanyl pills, several pipes and bongs, a large cylinder containing suspected Marijuana, scales, a gallon bag containing suspected mushrooms, and a plastic container with THC wax inside.
Tyler Potts was arrested and charged with:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Fentanyl)
- Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 OZ.) 1st Offense
- Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Hallucinogen)
- Drug Paraphernalia - Buy/Possess
- Operating Motor Vehicle under the influence of a Controlled Substance 4th
- License to be in Possesion
- Careless Driving
