Morgantown Elementary's Leaders of the Year

Friday, May 19th,  six children were chosen as the Leader of the Year in their respective grade.  They were awarded due to their hard work, dedication, and utilization of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen Covey.
Each child could bring two guests with them for this special day.  The ceremony took place at the Kent Moore House.  Lunch was catered in with Superintendent Scott Howard, serving the children and their guests.
After lunch, the ceremony began.  Principal Mr. Chad Flener gave thanks, Ms. Otey for her help in organizing the get-togethers for the Leader of the Month at the school, and the event that was held today. Each child had a special letter written about them from their homeroom teacher explaining why they were chosen as the Leader of the Year in their grade that was read by Mr. Flener.  Each child was presented with a framed certificate of their achievement.  Out of these six students, one was then chosen to be the Leader of the Year for the entire elementary school.  This year, the amazing honor was given to Ty Price for his hard work ethic, compassion for others, and his dedication as a student.
