Morgantown Christmas Parade 2019 Edition

The 2019 Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade was a success. Saturday was a beautiful day, and the parade did not disappoint. Morgantown was packed with spectators as Santa came to town. Morgantown Bank & Trust president Tom Jones served as emcee for the 80 plus entries. The Morgantown Police Department and the Butler County Sheriff's Department lead the parade through town.

Carson Cook, 102, served as Grand Marshal of the parade. Mrs. Exie Hawes, 101, was also scheduled to serve as grand marshal; however, she passed prior to the parade. Floats, elected officials, clowns, jeeps, business vehicles, and scouts were just a few of the entries.

Toys for Tots collected over 50 items, as well as several can goods for Morgantown Mission.

A combined Butler County High School/Middle School Band filled the air with Christmas music. Winning floats included: Western Kentucky Legacy, Barnetts Lick Baptist Church, and Butler County High School FFA.

Beauty queens, calendar girls, NJROTC Cadets, local churches, fire trucks, and horses made their way through town. There was plenty of candy as well as stuffed animals for the children.
