On July 28th Morgantown - Butler County Swim Team competed in the Southwestern Conference Championship Swim Meet. The Southwestern Conference consist of 5 teams, Southland Family Fun Center, Glasgow Aquatics Club, MBCST, Scottsville YMCA, and Portland, TN.

MBCST had 28 swimmers show up for the meet that is broken into 2 sessions, a morning sessions starting at 7:30 AM and an afternoon session that followed lasting until 4:30 PM.

MBCST made history by bring home 3rd overall.  This is the first time that MBCST has ever placed in the top 3 to bring home a  trophy.

Cameron Joiner was the over all MVS earning the team 103.5 points by placing 1st in all of his individual events except Breaststroke that he got 3rd place.

Mattie Smith was the over all girl MVS earning the team 77 points.

Olivia Jones was the morning session girl MVS earning the team 56 points.

Dawson Deel was the afternoon session boy MVS with 85.5 points.

This was a huge accomplishment for the Barracudas and the coaches and parents are very proud of the swimmers for such a great season.

MBCST would like to thank Mayor Keown and the Morgantown City Pool staff  for all the support they offer the team.

Coach Josh Henderson and Coach Erin Moore would also like to thank all the parents for their dedication to MBCST and the hard work that you put in at the swim meets. We would also like to thank all the sponsors that have helped MBCST this year.

Congratulations to all the Barracudas and we looking forward to another exciting year in 2013 as MBCST will be hosting the Southwestern conference championship swim meet on July 27, 2013 at the Morgantown City Pool.
