Morgantown Bank & Trust Makes First Donation from Bank's School Spirit Card Program To Butler County Schools

Future Donations Expected to Increase As Program Grows- Tom Jones, President/CEO of Morgantown Bank & Trust presented Butler County Schools Superintendent Scott Howard with a check for $839.60 for the first donation from the bank’s school spirit card program.  This is the first quarter of the new promotion and the majority of the income for the first quarter was earned in March, which indicates that the program is growing and donations are expected to increase in the future.
“We are proud to support our schools by allowing our customers to use their debit cards to support the group of their choice, at no cost or inconvenience to them.  We hope this program and the donations continue to grow as more and more people take advantage of this great program and share it with their family and friends,” stated Mr. Jones.
The total donation will be split into separate checks to Butler County High School’s Band, Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Golf, Football, Softball, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, & Volleyball; Butler County Middle School, Morgantown Elementary and North Butler Elementary.
The bank’s School Spirit Card Program donates 0.5% of all non-pinned debit card transactions back to the program or school that the customer selects when ordering their card.  All bank customers are given the option of ordering a School Spirit Card.  There are presently over 200 school cards in circulation.
Morgantown Bank & Trust is the only home-owned financial institution in Butler County and has been a part of the community since 1880.
