Morgantown Bank & Trust hosted a reception at the Data Center to honor the exceptional achievements of four scholarship recipients. These students were selected based on their outstanding academic performance, community involvement, and leadership qualities. MB&T's generous donation of $10,000 has been awarded to these outstanding students, each of whom will receive $1,250 per semester during their first year of college.

The scholarship funds can be utilized toward various educational pathways, including a four-year college degree, a two-year college associate degree, or a vocational/technical school degree, ensuring that these individuals have the resources they need to achieve their educational goals.

“We are thrilled to support these outstanding students on their journey toward higher education,” said Jason Jones, President and CEO of Morgantown Bank & Trust. “Their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence serve as inspirations to us all. We believe in investing in the future leaders of our community, and we are confident that these four students will make significant contributions to our society.”

Recipients are:

 Parker Smith, a Butler County High School graduate, will attend Western Kentucky University. He will be studying Civil Engineering. He also plans to participate in Cross Country and Track and Field. 

 Addison Miller, Butler County High School, plans to attend Murray State and will study Accounting.

 Caraline Cordell, Warren East High School, will go to Middle Tennessee State University and study Criminal Defense.

 Abbie May, Bowling Green High School, plans to attend Western Kentucky University and study Speech-Language Pathology.
