Morgantown Bank & Trust Appoints Shane Wells as New Chairman of the Board of Directors

MORGANTOWN, KY – Following the retirement of longtime Chairman Sam Moore after twenty-seven years of service on the Board of Directors, Morgantown Bank & Trust and Morgantown Deposit Bancorp, Inc. have elected Shane Wells as Chairman and Charla

Wells joined the Morgantown Bank & Trust Board of Directors in 2015 and has been an active member of the Board throughout a period of continued growth and investment in the Bank’s future. As Chairman, he will help guide the strategic direction of both Morgantown

Bank & Trust and Morgantown Deposit Bancorp while continuing the Bank’s longstanding commitment to independent community banking.

A lifelong resident of Butler County, Wells and his wife, Felicia, have two daughters, Mattie and Lydia. He is a full-time farmer in the Rochester community and has dedicated his life to serving Kentucky agriculture and his local community. Wells is a member of Monticello

and is a past Butler County Farm Bureau President. In addition, Wells serves on the Kentucky Farm Bureau Environmental Stewardship and Grain Crops Advisory Committees and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Soybean Association.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Wells brings extensive leadership experience, a deep understanding of the agricultural community, and a strong commitment to the values that have guided Morgantown Bank & Trust for generations.

Snodgrass, who has served as a member of the Board of Directors, was elected Vice Chairwoman of both Morgantown Bank & Trust and Morgantown Deposit Bancorp. Her election reflects the confidence of her fellow directors in her leadership and commitment

to the Bank’s mission of serving its customers, shareholders, and communities.

“Shane has earned the respect of our Board through his integrity, sound judgment, and  dedication to the communities we serve,” said Jason T. Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer of Morgantown Bank & Trust. “His leadership, along with Charla’s

experience and commitment, positions our organization well for the future. We are grateful for Sam Moore’s remarkable legacy and look forward to building upon the strong foundation he helped establish.”
