Meth residue, ingredients found at site of mobile home fire

UPDATE:Kentucky State Police Arson Detective David West and members of the Fourth District Volunteer Fire Department were on the scene early Saturday morning investigating the cause of the fire.  According to West, the fire was arson and described as a "flash fire." Upon investigation, the Butler County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police were notified of suspected methamphetamine production. 
 
 
Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Heath West and Trooper Brian McKinney responded.Deputy West found residue of meth production, as well the ingredients for meth production in the building next to the trailer.  Residue of prior "cooks" was also located on the property. According to eyewitnesses, two vehicles left the residence last night immediately after the start of the fire. The investigation is ongoing.

ORIGINAL STORY (Friday):  Volunteer firemen from multiple departments were dispatched to a mobile home fire earlier this evening at 638 Al Embry Road in the Jetson community of Butler County. The call was received just prior to 7 p.m. with reports of a trailer being on fire and "fully engulfed."  Fourth District, Fifth District, and Morgantown departments were all dispatched, as well as Butler County EMS.
As firemen worked to extinguished the flames, a request was made for a law enforcement officer to be sent to the scene.  By approximately 7:30 p.m., the fire was under control, though the structure appears to be a complete loss.  There are no reports of injuries.  The identity of the owner is not being released at this time pending verification. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
