Meth bust on Russellville Road, 14+ grams confiscated: two arrested

What started with the intention of serving an outstanding warrant has resulted in the arrest of two individuals on methamphetamine-related charges.

Earlier this afternoon, Butler County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Heath West and Deputies Chris Reneer, Joe Alford, Justin Deweese, and Travis McIntosh responded to a residence on 2423 Russellville Road owned by Bobbie Lee Forbes, 52, of Morgantown.

Sarah Court

Deputies initially had the residence under surveillance in an effort to serve an arrest warrant on Sarah Court, 24, of Morgantown.  Court is wanted on charges of burglary in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a minor, robbery in the second degree, assault in the fourth degree.  She was recently indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury.

When serving the warrant on Court, deputies had reason to suspect that meth production may be taking place in the trailer.  Deputies obtained consent to search the premises from Mr. Forbes and promptly discovered a methamphetamine lab and approximately 14 grams of finished product.

"We believe the last cook was either late last night or early this morning," said Chief Deputy West.

Additionally, deputies discovered what appeared to be an alarm system outside the house that ran through trees and under the road, presumably alerting someone in the trailer that a vehicle was approaching.

Two vehicles at the residence have also been impounded per state law.

Both Court and Forbes were arrested and lodged in the Butler County Jail. Court's bail has been set at $50,000.
