MES Fall Festival

On Friday, October 21st, fall was in full swing as students, their families, and several others from the community came to support Morgantown Elementary School at their annual fall festival. Since 1970 MES has hosted this event in an effort to raise funds for various needs throughout their school.  This year all proceeds went to buy new computers.
There were several different activities, events, and games for everyone in attendance.  MES staff was all on hand to volunteer during this fundraising event.  Also volunteering this year were about 30 students from the Butler County High School NJROTC program.

Mr. Flener was the emcee for the night, calling names of raffle winners and keeping the crowd informed of the activities available.  About $1500 in items were donated to the event to be auctioned and raffled away.  A large array of themed baskets was available for the silent auction.  The silent auction and the Pumpkin Patch raffle grew quite a bit attention from the crowd.  Several old fashioned games were available for the children to play while the adults browsed the auction and raffle items.  Face painting, hair coloring, golf cart rides, pumpkin judging, and a costume contest was also on the agenda for the night as the crowd continued to grow.

MES would like to thank all of their sponsors and volunteers who were able to make this event happen.  Once again, all proceeds from the night went to purchase new computers for the elementary school and those in attendance were greatly appreciated.
