MEETING: Butler County Fiscal Court
Butler County Fiscal Court met at the courthouse on March 24 with all magistrates in attendance.
Old Business

Butler County Jailer Wayne Russ told the court he had found enough money from a CPC Grant to pay for the $7,415 plumbing repairs from Marlin Mfg. needed at the jail.

Butler County Clerk Sherry Johnson brought samples of flooring for her office. The court approved a $13,537.65 quote from Hometown Flooring.
New Business
The court went into a closed session to discuss personnel. No action was taken.
The court approved the maintenance of the voting machine at the cost of $6,521 from Harp Election Services.
Ellie Harbaugh addressed the court, sharing information about 211 services for Butler County. In 2024, ninety-eight calls for service were received from Butler County residents. The age range of callers was 25-64, and the most requested needs were utility service assistance and food. The court appropriated $1,000 for 2024 and accepted a $1,000 request for next year.
The court approved the following additional items:
- Advertise for the position of Butler County Treasurer, with a starting salary of $55,000.
- Accept bids for Woodbury RV Park Electrical Work
- Rubber Modified Asphalt Application for Flat Rock Road
- Purchase of tires for Emergency Management Assistance backup truck
- Transfer $35,000 from the General Fund to the Jail Fund
- Transfer $20,000 from the General Fund to the E911 Fund
