Meet the Candidate: Todd Meredith 1st District Constable

Good morning, Community! As promised, I have worked on some goals for the District 1 Constable Position. Let’s dive into it shall we?
CITIZENSHIP:
I was born and raised right here in Butler County in 1975. I am 46 years old and have never strayed from my hometown of Morgantown, KY. I have spent all 46 years here!
I am a business owner of 3 businesses right here in Morgantown and I want to make a difference with the position of Constable!
AFFILIATION:
I am a PROUD REGISTERED REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, and I don’t ever see that changing!
EDUCATION:
I graduated Butler County High School in 1993. I have attended WKU and SKY Colleges in Bowling Green, KY and I am currently working on my Associates Degree. I also have 1 year of RN Nursing School under my belt which could be very useful at an accident scene until EMS Arrive.
I am proficient in computers and programs including Word, Excel, and many more.
GOALS / PLANS TO WORK ON:
• I will be a good ASSET for our Local Law Enforcement Officers by aiding in the transfers of individuals.
• School Bus Stops need to be monitored closely. We need to make sure vehicles are stopping at ALL stop signs for your children’s safety.
• Speeding in the City Limits will be monitored more closely for the general safety of all citizens.
• Children’s Safety playing in their yards is a major priority. We need to make sure yards close to the streets are being observed for speeding and reckless driving.
• DUI’s and Driving under the influence need to be observed for. It is an adult’s responsibility to get designated drivers for the safety of themselves as well as others.
• Be available 24/7, 7 days a week if needed to aid our other Officers when in need. This includes State, City, and County Officers as well as ALL First Responders.
• Watch for and enforce ALL traffic laws as allowed by law.
• Keep the Citizen’s concerns top priority, and work to address them Appropriately and Promptly.
• Make sure citizens are always safe in their community.
• Aid at traffic stops and help with traffic control.
• Protect ALL Businesses in the District by patrolling at all hours to ensure businesses are locked, safe, and secured after hours.
• Be available 24/7 for the communities needs and safety.
• Attend Local Events and observe and help with public safety.
• To be (FAIR) with every resident and citizen and treat them with Respect, Dignity, and in an Empathetic nature. We are all human, and all have made mistakes. We need to be open minded with individuals.
• To fund the position myself as required for the position including cruiser, equipment, and any supplies needed to perform the job. I will not settle for low grade or cheap equipment. The best will be on the street to represent our community proudly!
• Establish a professional uniform that represents the position in a Professional manner, which should be expected by the citizens.
• Work with higher Government to try and get the Constable Laws changed for future Constables that would require Professional Police Training for these positions. There are some certifications required now that I will be completing when I win.
• I have taken courses at college in People Skills Interactions. These courses addressed how to handle irate individuals and how to de-escalate situations by negotiations and preventing further hostile environments. The (KEY) is proper negotiating.
• This position NEEDS TO BE WORKED. It must come as a FIRST PRIORITY over other jobs, etc. My stores are staffed allowing me the time to patrol and work this position. You votes will NOT be cast for the position to sit not being used for our community. If you vote for me, IT WILL BE WORKED FULL TIME. Please don’t vote for a candidate to just tie the title up and them never work. That does not help our community at all.
IN CLOSING:
As you can tell I have not taken this position lightly. I have spent numerous hours searching equipment, needs, improvements for the position, etc. I am so ready to go to work for you all as soon as the polls close May 17th.
As individuals, you have a great RESPONSIBILITY and POWER to VOTE to make a great difference in our community! With your VOTE you can make this happen for myself as well as for the good of your community! You have my word I will work the position hard, and I will MAKE YOU PROUD OF ME and District 1!
Thank you in advance for your SUPPORT and for your VOTES! Todd Meredith for Constable District 1 REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE PROUD!
