McKinney Awarded First Butler County Stockman's Association Scholarship

Chad Tyree BCSA Chairperson, Maddie McKinney scholarship recipient, and Alonda Imbruglio Board Member.

In 2014 the Butler County Stockman’s Association (BCSA) held its first production sale of locally produced cattle in the Eva J. Hawes Building located in Morgantown’s city park with help from Butler County’s local UK Cooperative Extension Service agents.  The intent of the auction was to provide a local marketing outlet and buying opportunity for locally produced pre-conditioned cattle as well as a linchpin for educating and providing resources for local agriculture.  In 2017, the BCSA awarded the first annual scholarship to its first recipient, Ms. Maddie McKinney.

The board members, of the BCSA, are honored to provide Ms. Maddie McKinney who demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and leadership with a scholarship.

This opportunity for local students will be available for Butler County students furthering their education in agriculture related fields.

For information related to the annual scholarship or membership with the BCSA feel free to contact the local cooperative extension office or board chairperson Chad Tyree at 270-934-2553 or email at [email protected].
