MB&T's Ice Cream Social: Music, Classic Cars, Artists, a Dunking Booth ... and ICE CREAM!

On Saturday, June the 24, the town of Morgantown came alive with the sounds of music and the revving engines of classic cars at the 5th Annual Show 'n Shine Car Show and Morgantown Bank and Trust Ice Cream Social.

The ice cream social, held in the heart of the town square, was a treat for attendees of all ages. With an array of ice cream, everyone had the chance to indulge in a sweet summer delight. The event was made even more special with the addition of live music performances by some local artists.

The stage featured musicians such as Shannon Lawson, John Hunt, Brady Jones, Ray and Bodie Hammer, Barry Embry, and Jason and Tom Jones. The diverse musical lineup catered to a wide range of tastes, featuring country, rock, bluegrass, and even a gospel quartet.

Adding an element of excitement to the ice cream social was a dunking booth, where participants could test their aim and try to dunk notable figures from the community. Morgantown Bank and Trust President, Jason Jones, took his turn in the dunking booth, providing lighthearted entertainment for all.

While the ice cream social was a treat for the taste buds, the 5th Annual Show 'n Shine Car Show on the square delighted car enthusiasts and community members alike. Classic car owners gathered to showcase their beautifully restored vehicles. The car show not only provided an opportunity for car enthusiasts to exhibit their prized possessions but also served a charitable purpose.

The event benefited the Butler County Cancer Assistance organization, a local charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer. Participants and visitors generously contributed to the cause, raising funds to assist those in need. In addition to supporting a good cause, car show participants vied for various awards, recognizing excellence in different categories.

Among the awards presented were Best of Show, Best GM, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best Truck, Best Rat Rod, Best Motorcycle, Top 10, and a special category for Kids 12 and under with their stick horses. The competition was fierce as car enthusiasts displayed their vehicles, each vying for recognition in their respective categories.

Both the ice cream social and the Show 'n Shine Car Show were resounding successes, drawing large crowds and creating a vibrant atmosphere in Morgantown," said MB&T President Jason Jones.  "The events showcased the community's strong spirit."
