MB&T: May The Circle Be Unbroken

Pausing for a smile are Russell Justice, Roy Hogan, Phillip Rose and Tom Jones

They formed a circle of chairs in the lobby of Morgantown Bank and Trust. Included was a chorus of guitars, a mandolin and a dobro. As the microphone was passed to the next in line, each one took a turn with a song of their choice.

The circle of singers this year included Millard Burden, Doug Odle, Kenny Johnson, Russell Givens, Doug Lindsey, Sharon Lindsey, Carolyn Justice, Russell Justice, Roy Hogan, Phillip Rose and MB&T president Tom Jones and family, Debra Jones, Thelma Green, Jason Jones and Melissa Robinson. “This is our sixth year of singing at Christmas here at MB&T,” said president Jones.

Billed as an annual holiday musical celebration, the songs covered the range of bluegrass, country, gospel and Christmas. Oftentimes, the audience sang along and even provided additional harmony. Circles are meant to be unbroken and may that be the case with this one.
