Marty Jones Appointed to Morgantown Bank & Trust Board of Directors

Jones assumes spot vacated by resignation of James Runion


MORGANTOWN--Sam Moore, Chairman of the Morgantown Bank & Trust Company’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gerald “Marty” Jones, II as the newest member of the bank’s Board of Directors. Marty will replace Mr. James Runion, who resigned effective at the end of the year in order to focus on his new endeavor as an agency manager of the Kentucky Farm Bureau office located in Henderson, KY.

 

Marty is the co-owner and serves as President of the Jones Funeral Chapel in Morgantown, which has been family owned and in operation since 1979. Marty is also the co-owner, along with his wife Haley, of Jones Monument Company and currently serves as the Butler County Coroner. Marty is a life-long resident of Butler County, and he and his wife currently reside in the Eden community. Marty and Haley have one daughter, Olivia Grace, who is a Senior at Western Kentucky University. Upon graduation from Butler County High School, he attended John A. Gupton Mortuary School in Nashville, TN where he earned an associate degree in mortuary science.  Marty currently serves as the President of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky and is an active member of Crossland Community Church (Morgantown Campus), the Cassia Masonic Lodge #272, and former Board Member and current member of the Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce.
