Maple Syrup Program Offered at Butler County Extension Service

Those interested in maple syrup will have an opportunity to participate in a unique program that will address both production and consumption of maple syrup. 

The Butler County Extension Service will offer a “Maple Syrup: From the Tree to the Plate” program on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Butler County Extension Office at 9:00 a.m.  This program has been developed by Extension agents.  It will cover the history of syrup production, equipment and production procedures, cooking demonstrations with and using maple syrup, syrup and sap tasting, and a Sugar Maple tree tapping demonstration. The program is expected to end around noon and there is no charge to attend this County Extension program.  Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling the Extension Office at 526-3767.
