Manning leads the Bears to 10-0 victory thanks to five strikeouts

Morgan Manning tossed a shutout to lift the Bears to an 10-0 win over Barren County at Barren County in seven innings.

The Bears' Manning kept Barren County off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the hill. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out five.

Six runs in the first three innings helped the Bears blow out Barren County. An RBI single by Payton Grubb in the second inning fueled the Bears' offense early.

Grubb got a hit in each of her two at bats.

Amy Rogers, Natoshia White, Manning and Grubb helped lead the Bears. They combined for eight hits and four RBIs.

The Bears increased their lead with five runs in the third. Manning kicked things off with a single, bringing home Rogers and Natoshia White. That was followed up by Jazmin Reynolds's double, scoring Taylor King and Manning.

The Bears tacked on another more runs in the sixth. The inning got off to a hot start when Madeline Drake singled, scoring Grubb. That was followed up with a steal of home by Rogers.

The Bears built upon their lead with two runs in the seventh. A ground out scored Reynolds for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Rogers' single, plating Grubb.
