Man on the run after meth bust

One suspect has been placed behind bars, another has fled the area after an early morning visit from the police on Tuesday. Deputy Heath West of the Butler County Sheriff's Department received a tip about the whereabouts of wanted felon Jarrod Wilkerson and responded to 40 Jolertown Rd. in Jetson.

Upon Deputy West's arrival, Wilkerson ran out the back door of the residence. West was met at the door by Bridget Cockrell, of 17 Charlie Shepherd Rd., and could smell methamphetamine. A meth lab was discovered on the kitchen countertop. Arko was called in to track Wilkerson but was unable to locate him.

Cockrell was placed under arrest and has been lodged in the Butler County Jail and has been charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine, 1st offense.

Wilkerson is still on the run and will be facing felony manufacturing methamphetamine charges in addition to his felony assault and felony receiving stolen property charges. If you have any information regarding Jarrod Wilkerson, contact the Butler County Sheriff's Department at 526-3676.
