Magistrates go high-tech for their monthly meeting; approve plans to clean up four illegal dumps

Butler County Fiscal Court made history on Monday, April 13, by conducting their meeting over ZOOM, an online meeting platform.  Following the CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, each magistrate participated by video conference.

The court reviewed bids and approved Hood's Properties to clean up four illegal dumps in the county for a total of $28,600.

In other business, the court approved the hiring of Tonya Lutz as an E-911 telecommunicator starting April 14, 2020, at $12 per hour with a fifty-cent increase after completion of the academy.

 The court approved the following:

-First District Fire Protection Board Financial statement-balance $78,036

-Butler County Treasurer to open checking account for Library Shelving Grant Funds

-Payment of training incentive amounts for constitutional officers per Department of -Local Government approval letters

-Treasurer's monthly settlement

-3rd Quarter Financial Statement

-Transfer of $25,000 from the General Fund to Jail Fund

-Bills and transfers
