Retired educators in Butler County may not be in the classroom every day but that doesn’t mean they have stopped contributing to the community.  

The Butler County Retired Teacher Association (BCRTA) recently received top honors from the state association. BCRTA has earned “Gold Recognition” for membership, volunteerism, and community activism. The association was also recognized with a citation for membership with new membership over 90 percent.

“I would like to recognize all standing committee members and our secretary/treasurer Darlene Scott for their service to retired teachers,” said Dr. Darryl Dockery, BCRTA President.  “I would also like to thank the Butler County School System and Superintendent Scott Howard for their support of Butler County's retired teachers and education. Thank You BCRTA.”
