Local State Fair Winners

Butler County was well represented in the rabbit  division of the Kentucky State Fair this year. A&B Rabbittry, Angel Wolf Rabbits, and Honey Bunny Farms competed in several categories. 

Ashton Miller, of A & B Rabbittry in Roundhill, Kentucky, showed three rabbits at the Kentucky State Fair, receiving 2nd place in Californian Junior Bucks, 3rd place in Californian Junior Bucks, and 3rd place in Californian Junior Does. 
 A & B Rabbittry breeds Californian and New Zealand Rabbits and despite heavy losses due to heat still showed well at the fair.  Lexa Johnson showed one rabbit in the Youth show and came away 5th place with a rabbit from A and B Rabbitry. "We were very pleased with the turnout this year of Butler countians at the state fair, and look forward to an even better showing next year," said Brittany Miller.
 
Angela and Mike Smith, of Angel Wolf Rabbits, showed several rabbits coming away with 1st place Intermediate Doe Californian, 1st place Junior Holland Lop Buck, 3rd place Junior Holland Lop Doe, 1st place and Best of Variety New Zealand Junior Buck.  Angela Smith can be reached at 999-8636 if you are interested in learning more about showing rabbits she is also involved in 4-H rabbits.

Kara McFadyen, of Honey Bunny Farms, competed in the youth show and received 1st Place Meat Pens, 2nd in Fur and 2nd in class for her Intermediate Californian Buck.
