Local Republicans rally for Lincoln-Reagan event

With the primary election drawing closer, the local Republican Party held its annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on Friday, March 25.  The event, with 127 in attendance,  is meant to honor two of the party's most prominent presidents - Abraham Lincoln (the first GOP president) and Ronald Reagan.  Locally, several Republicans are vying for various elected positions in the primary election, which is set for Tuesday, May 17.  A large number of those candidates attended the dinner.  However, it was candidates for state offices who were allotted speaking times at the dinner - 5 minute windows for each candidate.
