Local man facing multiple charges in Warren, Butler counties

A local man, facing a plethora of criminal charges, was set to be arraigned yesterday, Friday, January 4, in Warren Circuit Court.

Rodney Gregory, 34, of Morgantown, is charged with wanton endangerment (first degree, two counts, police officer), wanton endangerment (first degree, two counts), unlawful imprisonment (first degree, first degree), fleeing and evading police (first degree), and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, among other charges.

According to a report in the Bowling Green Daily News, the Warren County charges are the result of a pursuit that took place earlier this fall.  Gregory allegedly led police of a high-speed chase that stretched from Warren to Daviess counties, including Butler.  Gregory, according to the Daily News story, was finally apprehended in Daviess County after an armed stand-off with police. A female and her 20-month old daughter were in the vehicle.  Gregory is facing two indictments by a Warren County grand jury related to this incident.

Locally, Gregory is facing various charges of assault, kidnapping, sexual abuse, and attempted rape.

The Butler County cases are expected to come to trial in the spring.
