Little Muddy Rural Development News

The Little Muddy RD Club met August 20th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.  There were 16 people present.  Members arrived early so Program Leader Scott Keen could take them on a hayride around the community. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and time of fellowship. The meeting began with Maggie Drake leading the club in the pledge to the American flag.  Greg Drake gave the blessing for the meal. After the meal, Vice President Danny Dye called the business meeting to order. The minutes were read by Assistant Secretary, Laurie Keen and approved.  The birthdays and anniversaries were announced and celebrated with song. The club thanked the hostess for the night Leeann Hudnall.
In old business, Leeann Hudnall informed club members that the dates for the Concerts on the Courthouse Lawn had been announced. There will be events on Aug 25th at 7:00 pm, Sept 15th at 6:00 pm and Oct 6th at 6:00 pm. A motion was made by Gregory Drake to have the movie & popcorn night at the community center on Oct 20th at 6:00 p.m. Members discussed possible movies and how to handle concessions. The motion carried.
In new business, Gregory Drake announced that the Annual Field Day will be at the Eva Hawes building on September 6th starting at 4:00 p.m. Gregory also announced that the Eva Hawes building is in need of supplies so if anyone has utensils or supplies he will collect them to donate.  Gregory also announced that the Annual RD Meeting would be held on November 3rd at 6:00 p.m. and that the Provo RD club will be having a fundraiser event on September 8th starting at 5:00 p.m.
 
There was no other business and the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be held on Monday, September 17th at 6:30 p.m. at the Little Muddy Community Center. Everyone is invited to attend.
