Little Muddy Rural Development Club News

The Little Muddy RD Club met February 20th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.  There were 21 people present.  The meeting began with Jared Hudnall leading the club in the pledge to the American flag.  Gabe Keen gave the blessing for the meal. After the meal President Sean Weeks called the business meeting to order. The minutes were read by Secretary, Donnita Weeks and approved. The birthdays and anniversaries were announced and celebrated with song. The club thanked the hostess for the night Donnita Weeks.
In old business, Gregory Drake reminded club members that there would be a Leadership Training Class on February 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Butler County Extension Office. Wayne Hatcher informed club members that he had made payment for the new sign.  Sean Weeks and club members sent get well wishes to member Mary Hatcher who was unable to attend the meeting due to sickness.
In new business, Gregory Drake announced that 38 people, including several of our members had went on a bus trip to the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. Members agreed this was a great opportunity for those who were unable to attend on their own.
After the business meeting President, Sean Weeks turned the program over to program leader Danny Dye who introduced Dr. Todd Cohron and Jason Clark. These two gentlemen gave a very entertaining presentation about antique tractors. They talked to members about restoring antique tractors and the Half Century of Progress Tractor show they attended in Rantoul, IL in 2011.
After the program there was no other business and the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 19th at 6:30 pm at the Little Muddy Community Center. Everyone is invited to attend.
