Little Muddy RD honors those that serve

On Monday, January 16th, Little Muddy Rural Development hosted their second annual appreciation supper for public service individuals.  The following departments were represented at the dinner:
Kentucky State Police
Butler County Sheriff Department
Butler County Emergency Medical Services
Butler County Emergency Management Service
2nd District Fire Department
5th District Fire Department
Morgantown Fire Department
Hadley Fire Department
Butler County Rescue Squad

Planning this event was Wayne and Mary Hatcher along with Trooper Brian McKinney and his wife Kara.  The inspiration for this annual dinner came from the community of Little Muddy looking for a way to show their appreciation to all of those in public service. Several men and women from the community worked together to decorate for the evening and serve the guests as they arrived.

Mrs. Mary Hatcher and several other ladies played an instrumental part in decorating and preparing the meal for the night cooking for several hours the day before.

The night began with the pledge of allegiance lead by several children from Little Muddy Community and prayer before supper was served.  The remaining of the night was spent in fellowship giving everyone the opportunity to meet and speak with the public service individuals of the area and their families.  It was a great opportunity for everyone involved to voice their appreciation and be able to get to know their public servants better.
All participants of the dinner would like to thank the community of Little Muddy for the appreciation, support, and time that it took to organize and host this event.
