Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I hope the voters of Butler County will choose the right man for the Judge-Executive’s job November 6. This county needs Mark Mudd.

When Mark married into our family, we became friends right away. I’m a Vietnam Veteran in a family with more than a dozen Hunt men serving their country in three generations.  I appreciate Mark’s long-time commitment to the military men and women who serve our nation. He stood with my father, Logan “W.L.” Hunt and me when the DAR honored us as father-son veterans of the year.

During the last 25 years Mark has attended as many veterans and military programs in Butler County as I have. Before he retired, he only had a certain number of vacation days, he used many of them for veterans. He could have been fishing, something he loves to do, but he decided often to honor veterans instead.

Highly qualified, Mark has years of experience bringing all parties to the table to study problems, find solutions, and see projects completed in a reasonable amount of time. In our family, as a volunteer, in public work and private business, Mark is a NATURAL LEADER. Butler Countians should expect the judge executive to be the go-to man for a wide variety of problems. Those looking to do business in the county should recognize the judge to be the county’s CEO. Along with his significant experience in the public sector, Mark also served for several years as the Senior Vice-President (budget and operations) of a major road contractor. Folks that enter the courthouse with questions should leave with answers. Mark will call on his state-wide contacts to go about getting the people of the county what they need.

He’s determined to make the right decision the right way, the American way. He and Becky were blessed with a strong sense of fairness and good work ethic. They’ve wisely spent honest income over the years, treating those that worked with and for them well. Mark isn’t “sold-out” to any special interest or party. His dislike of politics as usual nearly kept him from running for Judge in the first place. But his desire to use his experience and contacts to help improve Butler County won out. Six days a week since the primary he and Becky have been burning up the roads, talking to voters. They’ve worked themselves to the bone to improve the way things are done. Mark Mudd will put Butler County First!

On November 6, hire the best man for the job!

Let Mark Mudd work for you in the office of Judge-Executive!

Sincerely,

Bobby Hunt
