The Butler County Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, February 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Butler County Education Complex. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Karen Evans and the agenda was approved along with the minutes of the January 14, meeting.
Make-up days were discussed by the board.  According to Superintendent Scott Howard if no more days are missed school will be out May 30, 2014.
"School will be in session on President’s Day, February 17, 2014, Spring Break will not change, there will be no school on election day, May 20, 2014 or Memorial Day, May 26," said Howard.
The treasurer’s report was presented and approved:
Beginning balance: $1,776,448.06, receipts: $1,551,860.44 expenditures: $1,537,552.71, ending balance: $1,790,755.79.
Superintendent Scott Howard and the board recognized the Butler County Middle School Cheerleaders as the Third Region KAPOS Champions.
Howard gave the superintendent’s report and updated the board on various meeting he had attended on the state and local level. 
The board reviewed the SBDM Council minutes and bus maintenance reports.
The board then approved the following:
•    BCATC HOSA trip to attend the State HOSA Leadership Conference in Louisville, Kentucky March 13-15, 2014
•    BCATC HOSA trip to attend the Kentucky Skills USA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky  April 16-19, 2014
