The Butler County Lady Bears actually opened their 2012-2013 season on the road Monday night as they traveled to Hancock County.  Butler County got off to a slow start scoring six points in the first and second quarters respectively.  The Lady Hornets posted a strong first half scoring 28 points behind the hot hand of Mollie Bozarth.
Coach Christy Clark seemed to have the right words for the Lady Bears at halftime.  Butler County had a much better second half.  The Lady Bears were only outscored by one point in the final two quarters.  However, the 16-point halftime lead by the Lady Hornets was too much.  Lynsie Clark led the way for the Lady Bears with 13 points. Butler County fell in their season opener 51-34.
