Lady Bears out of the gate fast with three wins opening week
A 50-38 road win on Monday, November 28, officially kicked off a solid week of basketball for the Butler County Lady Bears. Butler County followed up that victory with another one on Tuesday - this time a 55-47 home win against Owensboro. The lone loss of the week was a 54-51 setback at Russellville.
The Lady Bears used a strong second quarter against Hancock County to take a 23-14 halftime lead. Butler County outscored Hancock in both of the second half quarters as well to secure the 50-38 win.
Chloe Flener led the Lady Bears in scoring with 14 points and Maddie Cardwell chipped in 10 points off the bench.

Karson Inscoe's 13 points paced the Lady Bears scoring efforts in their 55-47 win over Owensboro. Again, it was an explosive second quarter (16-5 BC advantage) that propelled Butler County to their winning margin.
Maddie Cardwell and Addison Hall had nine points apiece in the win.

The Lady Bears dropped a close 54-51 decision on Thursday at Russellville. Trailing 33-28 after three quarters, Butler County edged out the Lady Panthers 23-21 in flurry of fourth quarter scoring before falling short.
Allie Easley led the Lady Bears in scoring with 12 points. Maddy Murphy and Cheyenne White had 8 points apiece.
