The Butler County Lady Bears participated in the Farmers’ National Bank Bash at South Warren High School during the Christmas break.  The Lady Bears went 1-2 in the tournament defeating Greenup County and falling to Green County and Russell County. 

On opening night the Lady Bears fell to Green County 62-48. Allie Easley led the way for Butler County with 14 points, while Shawna West added 11 points. The Lady Bears outscored the Lady Dragons in the second half but the 16 point deficit at half was too much for Butler County to overcome.

In round two the Lady Bears overcame a 16 point deficit to defeat Greenup County 50-49.  Senior Lynsie Clark led Butler County with 19 points, knocking down 9 points from the free throw line.  Allie Easley sparked the Lady Bears in the second quarter as she connected on a couple of three’s.  Katie Graham and Clark combined for 20 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win for Butler County.

Butler County fell to Russell County in the final round of play 59-71.
